It Can Wait

Household chores and laundry can wait when our kids want to play with us and cuddle. We will always have time to take care of the house and fold the laundry but our little babes will grow up way to fast! Yes, household things are important. Running errands is important. Taking the time to take care of yourself is important. But sometimes, we can get so caught up in things that can wait to be done, that we forget the little things that matter most, and that can’t wait to be put off. Such as:

  • Spending time in Gods word

  • spending quality time with our loved ones

  • serving someone else in a little bit significant way

And whatever else you can think of that can’t be put off for later. It’s the little moments that we choose to partake in on the daily basis, that add up in the long run and shape us for the future and the future of those around us. Whatever we spend most of our time doing, will show what’s most important to us and where our priorities lie. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:19-21‬ ‭ “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:31‬ ‭ With so many things competing for our attention every single day. Ask yourself:

  • can this wait or is it important that I do it now?

  • will this be glorifying God and advancing Gods kingdom or my own on earth?

Let's be intentional on how we spend our time!
